Our History

Built during the 1970s, Cuties Orchard is a classic Barbadian bungalow located on Clermont Road, a quiet suburban community on Barbados' west coast. Developed during a period when home ownership was becoming increasingly accessible to many Barbadian families, communities like this helped create opportunities for families to build roots and pass assets from one generation to the next.

If you've ever spoken to a Bajan, you'll know many proudly say Barbados is not an island, but "a little rock." Formed from coral limestone, the island's geology has shaped both its landscape and architecture. Traditional Barbadian homes were often built using solid limestone construction, valued for its durability and ability to stay cool in the tropical climate. Cuties Orchard still features an original exposed limestone wall running through the hallway, a reminder of the home's heritage and craftsmanship.

Cuties Orchard came into our family through our late mother, who was born in Jamaica and later fell in love with Barbados.

Throughout her life she had a passion for homes, renovation and architecture. When she discovered this bungalow on Barbados' west coast, she saw more than just a house. She saw potential, character and a place where future generations could gather and create memories.

Today, we continue to care for the home and share it with guests, inspired by her love for Barbados and her belief that property can create opportunities for generations to come.
